For the second year running, The Wessex Scene's website, WessexScene Online, has been
shortlisted for Student Website of the Year at the fiercely competitive Guardian Student Media Awards.

The awards are now in their 25th year and they recognise and reward the best of student journalists, critics, editors and photographers.

The shortlist for the prestigious awards was decided by a judging panel that includes Alan Rusbridger (the editor of the Guardian); Rebekah Wade (the editor of the Sun); Jonathan Ross and Steve Rider, Emily Bell, editor-in-chief, Guardian Unlimited; Steve Pankhurst, co-founder, friendsreunited.co.uk.

There are many prizes including cash, work experience at the Guardian, a 6 week placement with Sky News and various European flights.

There will be an awards ceremony in central London on the 12th November where the winners will be announced.
