HS2, the low carbon train line which is to connect London, the Midlands and Scotland, threatens to decimate some of the last intact ecosystems and ancient wildlife areas in the UK. Wildlife organisations such as the Wildlife Trusts are urging the government to revisit plans to protect these national treasures.
